Gendron Construction Services has been involved in residential and light commercial construction in the York area since 1997.
In 2003 we began researching different building systems, materials and techniques. The systems and products considered included structural insulated panels (SIPS), insulated concrete forms (ICF), panelized construction, spray foam insulation, cellulose insulation and others.
We gained a wealth of information and a profound appreciation of how much the comfort, durability and operational costs of most buildings can be improved. This has informed our construction methods, and our clients have been overwhelmingly pleased with the results.
We continue to keep abreast of building science issues. George Gendron is certified by the Building Performance Institute as a Building Analyst Professional, and has been approved by Efficiency Maine as an Energy Advisor and Participating Contractor in their home performance program. National Fiber, the preeminent manufacturer of cellulose insulation who is very fussy about how their product is installed, also lists us as a trained and approved insulation contractor.
Our work has come to the attention of several engineering firms, and we are often called upon to deal with comfort, moisture and operational cost issues.
“In-house” personnel perform most of our work, including installation of various types of insulation. We carry General Liability and Workers’ Compensation Insurance, as do any of our subcontractors.
